An online ground school for the Hawker 800 series. It teaches one airplane: the Hawker 800XP with Collins Pro Line 21 and Honeywell TFE731-5BR engines, serials 258541, 258556, 258567 and after. Operate the airplane's systems with real cockpit switches, drill memory items to zero defects and keep it all fresh with spaced repetition, in short sessions on your phone or computer.
The name says 800 series, but the course teaches one model and one avionics fit. Check your airplane before you buy.
Collins Pro Line 21 avionics and two Honeywell TFE731-5BR engines, serials 258541, 258556, 258567 and after. Two-pilot, on the HS-125 type rating.
The Hawker 700, 750, 800, 800A, 850XP, 900XP or 1000, or an earlier 800XP without Pro Line 21. Winglets, other airplane-specific STCs and digital pressurization are not taught either.
Compare your airplane's model and serial number with this list. The first free lesson states the same scope, so you can open it before you pay, or ask us.
Open the free preview → Ask us on WhatsApp →Built for the Hawker 800XP with Collins Pro Line 21, its annunciators and its master warning system, so the schematics, switches and annunciator lights match that airplane. It is a two-pilot course, so the judgment unit is crew resource management.
Screens from the Hawker 800 series course: the engine start trainer, the electrical system with its cockpit switch panel, and your path through the course. Ground School runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.

Practice drills: smart review, memory items, a limitations blitz, annunciator challenges, an engine start trainer, CRM scenarios, a mock oral and a mock written check.
A traditional CBT is narrated slides and static diagrams with a quiz at the end. The Hawker 800XP course has you operate the systems, answer each question right after the page that teaches it and review on a spaced-repetition schedule. CBTs vary, and many training providers' courses are good. Use Ground School alongside your training provider's material and the AFM, not instead of them.
A simulator course at a training center or training in the aircraft. Check your insurer's requirements. Either way you will be tested on systems, limitations, procedures and judgment.
Start a few weeks out. Work through one Hawker 800XP system at a time with the schematics until you can predict what a switch or a failure does.
Memory items to zero defects, limitations, annunciators and engine starts, in short daily sessions. Spaced repetition keeps them fresh.
Fly the two-pilot CRM scenarios and run the mock oral until you can explain the airplane out loud. Then go fly.

One: the Hawker 800XP with Collins Pro Line 21 and Honeywell TFE731-5BR engines, serials 258541, 258556, 258567 and after. The name Hawker 800 series is broader than the content. The course does not cover the Hawker 700, 750, 800, 800A, 850XP, 900XP or 1000, or an earlier 800XP without Pro Line 21. It is on the HS-125 type rating, but that rating covers more models than this course teaches.
No. They are different models, and the course does not teach their systems, avionics or numbers. We don't have a course for them today.
No. Those airplanes differ from the 800XP in many details, and the course teaches 800XP values only.
The course teaches the airplane in the basic flight manual, with the analog cabin pressurization controls. It does not teach winglets, other airplane-specific STCs or digital pressurization. If your 800XP has them, the free preview will help you judge the fit, and your airplane's AFM and supplements always govern.
Book your training first, either a simulator course at a training center or training in the aircraft, and confirm your insurer's requirements. Then, in the weeks before, learn the Hawker 800XP's systems until you can predict what a switch or a failure does, drill the memory items and limitations until recall is instant and error-free, learn the annunciators and performance, and rehearse crew decisions and the oral out loud. Our online Hawker 800 series ground school covers all of this, with a free preview.
Every system (electrical, fuel, powerplant, fire protection, bleed air, ice and rain, pressurization, oxygen, hydraulics, landing gear and brakes, flight controls, and Collins Pro Line 21 with autoflight), then limitations, performance, memory items and crew resource management, all for the Hawker 800XP. Practice drills include smart review, memory items, a limitations blitz, annunciator challenges, an engine start trainer, CRM scenarios, a mock oral and a mock written check.
Yes. The Hawker 800XP is a two-pilot airplane, so the judgment unit is crew resource management rather than single-pilot SRM: briefing, workload and decision-making for two pilots on one flight deck, with scenarios and a debrief.
$399 for 12 months of the Hawker 800 series course, or $499 for Lifetime access. Each is a single payment and nothing renews. Lifetime covers the Hawker 800 series course only. Lifetime means for as long as we offer the course, and at least 36 months from purchase.
No. The Hawker is on its own FAA type rating, the HS-125, and its Lifetime covers the Hawker 800 series course only. It does not include the Citation or Phenom 300 courses, and it does not include courses for other Hawker models.
