  • Training recordsA CSV of the whole department, and PDF training records for one pilot or everyone, ready for the training file.
  • Seats that moveRemove a pilot who leaves and give the seat to the next one. Former pilots' records stay, read-only.

Questions

Flight department FAQ

What does a flight department subscription include?

A seat for each of your pilots, at least 2. Each seat gives one pilot the online ground school course for the aircraft you assign to them (today Citation CJ3+, Citation M2, CitationJet, Citation CJ1, Phenom 100, Phenom 300 and Hawker 800 series), with the recurrent check and its certificate, for 12 months, renewing until you cancel. Your administrators get a dashboard with every pilot's progress and results, and can export training records.

How much does it cost?

$299 per pilot seat per year for 2 to 10 seats, and $250 per seat for every seat once you have 11 or more. A two-pilot department pays $598 a year. Paying by invoice is possible from 5 seats. RVSM and Oceanic seats for your pilots: ask us.

What is the recurrent check?

Forty questions drawn from every area of the course (systems, limitations, memory items, procedures and SRM or CRM), with a score for each area and 80 percent to pass, plus every memory item recalled in order without an error in one timed run. Pass both and the pilot gets a certificate of recurrent training with its own number, which anyone can verify at typerating.aero/verify. Already typed pilots can take it without doing the lessons first. You choose a 12-month or 6-month cycle.

Does it count as recurrent training?

It records that the pilot passed the check on the date shown. It is study material for training purposes only, not an FAA-approved training program, a proficiency check or a type rating. Whether it counts toward your recurrent training, your insurance or your operator's program is for you, your insurer and your aviation authority to decide.

What does the Chief Pilot see?

For the courses of each pilot's seat: lessons completed, readiness by area, recurrent and mock written check results, the last memory-items run, certificates, and when the pilot was last active. Administrators never see a pilot's help chats, messages to us, settings, own purchases or other courses. Each pilot sees exactly this before accepting the seat.

Who can be an administrator?

Whoever subscribes becomes the owner and can add up to four more administrators, for example a Director of Operations or a training coordinator. Administrators don't use a seat unless they study too.

What happens when a pilot leaves?

Remove them, or they leave themselves. Their access through the seat ends at once and the seat is free for someone else. You keep their training record up to that day, read-only and exportable. The pilot keeps their own account, progress and certificates.

Can we change the number of seats?

Yes. Added seats are charged at once for the rest of the year. Fewer seats apply from the renewal; the ones you have stay usable until then. In each subscription year up to twice as many different pilots as seats can hold one.

How do we pay and cancel?

By card on Stripe's secure page, with your company's tax ID on the invoice if you have one, or by invoice from 5 seats. Cancel the renewal at any time in the app; seats work to the end of the paid year. The first payment is refunded in full if you ask within 7 days and no pilot has completed 10 percent of any course's paid lessons.
